Predator Blog

I sent this to Tom Cruise at one stage, and entered his blog competition for free dvd's or something, but didnt win. Anyway, here it is,..

Dear Blog,

Today i decided that i had waited just too long to see the new Predator planet, and decided to get a small loan out to pay the cinema entrace fee. I remember the original movie with Arnie, and what a life inspriing stand for humanity that put on my life. He wouldnt give up and had a will that even the Predators were intrigued by. They took honor to those that put a battle against an unstoppable and unseeable opponent. We also learnt that they enforce security if they were ever defeated. The next installment with Danny Glover was good, and we saw a Predator hunt for sport in modern society. But it was then we also saw the Predator ship, and were made aware that these people took their hunting and honor very seriously. Although they might look like strange ugly creatures, they were the thinkers, and they had the technology. It has always been my dream to see a movie made where we saw their planet. The recent Alien vs Predator move was a experience perhaps yet unmatched my modern cinema. A jounney through the trials of a pyramid, and based on a story or myth that was believeable. We saw just what kind of hunters we were dealing with, probably best in the scene where the Predator lures all the aliens into an area which is met by 5 or 6 drains. It finally ends with one Predator having care for a human, and fights to stop the alien species that was unlocked. We see a glimse of a civilization what can only be honored for both warrior aptitude and technology. Pretty soon it came time to go down to the bus stop and get to see the new movie. It was called Predators so it should have a few fighting at once. I later learnt they attack in three's. The bus ride didnt take long and once i purchased a ticket, I went and brought a huge popcorn and coke. This is going to be fun,..i thought. Well Morphious was in it. And afterwards, yes it was a good film, but not what i had hoped for. We did get a new insight into this hunting species, and the film did make an attempt to hold you to your seat, but at the end of the day, the audience was saying , we want to see the Predator planet. Yes they are too hard to attack, too many of them, too dense a planet, and too complex a technology, but surely directors can invent some sort of script that ties in with the others. Back home now, and that loan seems to have been a bit pointless, but i think the movie was good, infact excellent, something to look back on for a lifetime. Any movie with a Predator in it, is number 1 in my book. Hope you enjoyed reading my blog.
